The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in a time of comfort and convienence. More importantly, it's where he stands during a time of crisis.
The Coney Island Sports Foundation has sponsored and coordinated several special events within our community. During the past several years we have been committed on providing financial resources to many worthy charity organizations.
In kind, we would like to thanks all of our private and corporate sponsors.
In addition we would continue to support and provide funds to the students at Our Lady of Grace Parochial School and Prospect Park Youth Track Club. Our Foundation will continue providing financial support to several worthy local community special event programs and Scholarship Races. Such as The Sgt. Doreen Scrimenti Run, The P.O. Christopher Hoban Run and Kenneth Dolan Memorial 5k Run. We are proud sponsors of the Prospect Park Youth Track Club.
The Foundation's founder Edwin Cosme will join forces with Latino Justice in advocating in addressing several, social employment, educational, economic and civil rights issues. In doing so we wish that opportunity and prosperity will come to all. "When power leads a man toward arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitation. When power narrows the area of mans concern, poetry remind him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
